A new poem:

The darkness that pervades the night, ends with every dawn,
yet it continues to envelop me, from the day that i was born.


Relentless in its smothering, i grasp at near relief
only further pain ensues, the never ending grief

But happiness i will strive for, as persistance is the key
only through endemic failure, will i learn to be me

We each lead very seperate lives, but together we all learn,
that through each other we have the strength, to turn down what we yearn,

Don't think that i'm not happy. Upset, sad or distressed
life's lessons are ones that must be learnt, and i must learn them best

For with every day my appreciation grows to a stage it's unsurpassed,
the girl who ends up as my choice, hidden, the crowd, so vast.


But i will find this partner, the mate to call my soul
I'll do my job in life, to fulfil that destined role
